Favorite Quote: “A human being is part of the whole called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. We experience ourselves, our thoughts, and feelings as something separate from the rest--a kind of optical delusion of consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from the prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty. The true value of a human being is determined by the measure and the sense in which they have obtained liberation from the self. We shall require a sub-stantially new manner of thinking if humanity is to survive. (Albert Einstein, 1954)”
Best piece of advice you have received and by who… “I can’t think of one specific piece of advice….. From a personal perspective, I learned a lot and did a lot of growing through the process of my divorce. Being given “permission” to value my needs and desires was a big thing for me.”
Do you have any hobbies? “Reading, hiking, bike riding, knitting/crocheting, photography, Traveling!”
Have you traveled anywhere outrageous or fabulous? “Korea, Japan, Iceland, Italy, Scotland, Greece, Cuba, we just returned from an amazing adventure in Hong Kong, Vietnam and Singapore”

Last movie you saw in the theater? “It was so long ago, I can’t remember…. My husband and I watch movies on Netflix with a 15 minute rule – if either of us don’t like it after 15 minutes, we change it to something else. Funny movie theater story…. When my husband and I went on our 3rd date over 16 years ago, we went to the movie theater. He had me choose the movie – I picked “In the Bedroom” with Sissy Spacek because I’d heard of it ( it was nominated for an Oscar) and I liked Sissy Spacek. Worst date movie ever!! It was really depressing – about a couple dealing with their son’s suicide. We still laugh about that …….”

What is your favorite holiday and why? “I really like all of the holidays, but not any one in particular….. Anything that gets everyone spending time together is the best.”
